Shelby & Camden are engaged!

When Shelby first reached out to me, I was so excited to learn that her wedding would be taking place at the historic New College of Florida (click here to view that blog post), and that they wanted their engagement photos to take place at Anna Maria Island - which is one of my favorite places! Shelby wore a beautiful and timeless white slip dress to mark the occasion, and we explored the dunes, grassy fields, and refreshing shore of Bean Point for their engagement session.

Shelby and Camden had been dating for two years before he popped the question - which he did by writing “will you marry me?” on a golf ball while they were out golfing one sunny Florida day. How cute is that! They’re both local to the area, and being by the water is very important to them (which is why New College of Florida was such a perfect venue). We chatted about the details for their wedding day, which they envision being both comfortable and classy, with neutral colors to really let the venue shine. They expressed on our first phone call that they’re not always the most comfortable in front of the camera, but by the time the sun dipped below the horizon, they were practically professional models! These two are so sweet together, and it was such a pleasure to capture this exciting time in their lives.
